
Conditions for Film Production
he director must be a student (attending a high school, craft school, college/university or a similar public or private institution)
The film is not being supervised by a professional (unless they are also a student)
Each creator/team may only submit one film to the competition
The film is between 5 and 15 minutes long
The film is shot in horizontal orientation with at least FullHD definition (unless justified by the authors intent)
The film is submitted on a MP4 file, the size of which is at most 2 GB.
The film is submitted with a PDF file of a poster sized A3 or A4 and vertically oriented.
We reserve the right not to include a film in the final program – for promoting drug abuse; pointless depictions of cruel and inhuman acts; palliating, excusing, or justifying high risk behaviour. The film may not include material promoting hatred on the basis of race, gender, religion, nationality, sexual orientation or ethnic group. Pointless depictions of a person dying or being tortured physically or mentally in a manner counter to human decency are also prohibited. The film may not include any threats to physical, mental and moral development of the youth such as pornography or severe autotelic violence.
If the number of films submitted is such that it does not allow the schedule to accommodate all the submitted films we also reserve the right not to include a film in the final program. In such a case, the organisers and the jury will create a shortlist and only the films chosen shall be screened during the festival. The organisational team plagues to only use such a measure if absolutely necessary.
By submitting the application I agree to the processing of my personal data (name, email address and others included in the submission form) and their being used for the purposes of organisation and hosting of the Martin Pagáč Film Festival 2026 and also all accompanying email communications.
I am aware that my personal data will be used only for the time necessary to naplnění výše uvedených účelů and will not be given to any third party unless required by law. My consent can be withdrawn at any time by sending a request at the filmfestmp@gmail.com email address.
I confirm that I have been informed of my rights pertaining to GDPR (The right of access, rectification, erasure, limitation on processing and making a complaint to a supervisory authority).
By sending the submission form I confirm that I have read and fully agree to all the conditions for submitting a film to the Martin Pagáč Film Festival 2026.
I am aware that the submitted film may be eliminated from the contest selection or not screened if these conditions are not met (especially formal, technical or content related). In such a case the contestant is not entitled to an appeal or compensation.
I am acknowledging that the organisational team of the festival has the final say about inclusion of any film in the contest selection.
By submitting a film I agree with it being put on a publicly available website www.ffmp.cz after the end of this year’s event. The film will be shared via a link to an unlisted video on the Martin Pagáč Film Festival YouTube channel. This link and the publication on the website will then remain available at least until the start of the following year’s edition; in the event that the festival is cancelled, for a minimum of 365 days from the end of the festival edition in which the film was screened. After this period, the author of the film may request its removal from the website. The film will then be removed under any circumstances.
